By far the most amazing place we have stayed at in all of Thailand. The hosts are they most amazing and accommodating people EVER! I have never felt so welcome somewhere and I appreciate all the extra help they have given my boyfriend and I during our stay. Originally booked 3 nights and ended up staying for 8. Would definitely recommend!!

Location is key for this hostel! You are perfectly tucked away into the heart of the backpacking section of the old city. Highly recommend for this reason. Cheap price was worth it for us, although I wish we could’ve splurged for AC.

Great hostel in a great neighbourhood. Hosts are lovely, well organised and knowledgeable about the sights and attractions around Chiang Mai, more than happy to arrang bookings and transport etc for those attractions. Good rooms with a great atmosphere, cheap drinks and a relaxing roof top lounge with some views. Laundry service too :-)

We really enjoyed our stay at Vida! The staff Ya, Irin and Sid were all so friendly and really helpful with providing local tips. We booked to see some muay thai boxing and also to do a cookery class through Ya and thoroughly enjoyed both! Our room was small but fine for 4 nights. The bed was a bit harder than we would've liked but our only real wish was that we had AC because it was unbearably hot in Chiang Mai when we visited. Very good value and in an excellent location within the old town!

Vida Guesthouse is a nice, affordable place to stay in Chiang Mai. The location couldn't be better, it's near the main area and the party bars but it's a quiet place.

This was in a great location and definitely worth the price we paid. However, if they could add air conditioning, this place would be perfect.

Location was great, in the heart of the old town. Good prices for day tours and recommended other alternatives for trips and food. Staff was always respectful and answered all my questions. Places was smaller than expected and for the price I paid. I paid about the same $$ in Bangkok and got 24-h front desk and breakfast. Room did its job for showering and sleeping. WiFi was not the best, I had to go to lobby to get better signal. I stayed 3 days and the garbage of my room was never picked up =(

It's a nice place and decent enough for what you pay. Could use some upgrades (wifi doesn't reach rooms or upstairs enough to use, bed was hard compared to every other hostel I've stayed in, but nothing major) If you want a quite place to sleep away from the party hostels this is it. Chill out area is in the roof of the main building FYI. The two front desk ladies speak great English, are very nice and helpful.

    Very Good

    07 Jan 2019
I have positive and negative feedback. The private room is good value although the bed was awful; lopsided and old/hard. I woke with a sore back each morning. The location is great. The wifi didn't work in the room and when I told the owner Sid he blew me off and said it works. Poor response as another patron said the same so I know the owner is aware but doesn't do anything about it. The other owner was very sweet though. Not much to do here after 8pm. Not very social for a hostel.
