Go straight from the airport to the Backpacker street(Pham Ngu Lao) and from there you walk 10 minutes to our hostel by using Google maps, if you don't have wifi you can show this sentence to a local: 'HẺM 196 ĐƯỜNG NGUYỄN TRÃI, QUẬN 1' they are happy to help.
By Grab:
Car option: around 5-7$ depends on the Traffic time
Bike option: around 2$ but you need to make sure your bag is not too big. ^^!
From Cambodia:

Love this place! You're right next to one of the walking streets, free breakfast too. They help you book transportation to the next place you're off too. A/C 24/7!!! One of the best budget hostels. $1 beers too. The little dog is adorable. I'll be back I came during Tet and it seems most people here are only here for a night or 2, but that's not on the hostel,

Great hostel with 'just like your own house' vibe. The location was great, in front of bus terminal main entrance. Very near to supermarket, park, pub street and walkable to all attractions. What makes it the best hostel I've stayed during my backpacking trip is the people, they are friendly, respectable and trustworthy, different than party or commercialized big hostels. The host speaks very good english and the mother are very friendly. Very relax rooftop. True Vietnam experience.

Lovely hostel. My room was on the fourth floor, which I liked as it kept me fit !! I would like to ask the owner to put more lighting over the stairs as they are difficult to see sometimes. They are also quite narrow. The staff were wonderful and I would be happy to stay there again.

My favourite hostel so far - I only stayed one night sadly, would have happily stayed longer. The place is no frills but it is the people who make it so great. The two young guys on the desk are FABULOUS so helpful and friendly - they went above and beyond to accommodate every request and were stars. Recommend!

Nice little place near the bus stop. A little hard to find your first time in Vietnam but great once you are there. Friendly staff, a free breakfast, a friendly clean dog, and free WiFi. I will stay again next time I am in HCMC. The street food right in front and near it helps a lot too.

    Very Good

Beds were fine room was good. The main issue was communication. There were two workers who spoke English well, but they were not around often and during the important times. Nevertheless the workers who didn't speak English well we're very nice and did their absolute best to help. Many of the guest seem to be living there and the atmosphere was not the best. The common area was small and not so inviting.

    Good

Had quite the unwelcoming experience due to another guest on my floor, the "Mekong" room who seemed to be living there in her bunk long term. I arrived at around 21:00 after a 14 hour bus ride. This girl in this room proceeded to turn the lights off on me as I was trying to get settled in. And even when I attempted to be quiet and not cause any disruption she proceeded to scold me and made me feel very unwelcome. She acted as if it was her room alone! Very uncomfortable setting. :/

Nice family but very little English. Also even with byo lock, the lockers were very insecure. The screws holding the latch shut were loose and could be removed by hand if you wanted

We had a very inconvenient experience with this place. We arrived after 14 hours in a bus, suffered with headaches and the staff and manager weren't understanding at all. They pushed us to do the payments right away without having a minute to sit down. Except from that, the facilities of the dorm room are not very good, the bathroom door doesn't lock and the beds creak. We cut our stay there after one night, not as planned and when we asked to do it the manager's attitude was very rude. Be aware
