Go straight from the airport to the Backpacker street(Pham Ngu Lao) and from there you walk 10 minutes to our hostel by using Google maps, if you don't have wifi you can show this sentence to a local: 'HẺM 196 ĐƯỜNG NGUYỄN TRÃI, QUẬN 1' they are happy to help. Do not use Maps.me

By Grab:
Car option: around 5-7$ depends on the Traffic time

Great hostel with 'just like your own house' vibe. The location was great, in front of bus terminal main entrance. Very near to supermarket, park, pub street and walkable to all attractions. What makes it the best hostel I've stayed during my backpacking trip is the people, they are friendly, respectable and trustworthy, different than party or commercialized big hostels. The host speaks very good english and the mother are very friendly. Very relax rooftop. True Vietnam experience.

Lovely hostel. My room was on the fourth floor, which I liked as it kept me fit !! I would like to ask the owner to put more lighting over the stairs as they are difficult to see sometimes. They are also quite narrow. The staff were wonderful and I would be happy to stay there again.

This is one of the best hostels I have been to! William has been very helpful and accommodating - and I am really thankful for all his help. He even allowed me to borrow his helmet when I did a tour. The place is great. It is close to the many exciting sights and the party street but far enough from the noise so you could sleep and relax. Each room has its own bathroom. There is even a rooftop to enjoy a few beers and to meet new people. There is even a free food tour so that is a bonus.

I get everything i need in this place. Free breakfast was incredible as was the free food tour which we went on all 3 nights (different extremely cheap places)! The rooms were good temperature; bathroom cleaned every day, good atmosphere, beds were a bit squeaky but relatively comfortable, staff were soooo lovely- helped us book our bus for cheap, told us what to do around the city, etc. Would 100% recommend and wouldn’t stay anywhere else if we came back!

My favourite hostel so far - I only stayed one night sadly, would have happily stayed longer. The place is no frills but it is the people who make it so great. The two young guys on the desk are FABULOUS so helpful and friendly - they went above and beyond to accommodate every request and were stars. Recommend!

Nice little place near the bus stop. A little hard to find your first time in Vietnam but great once you are there. Friendly staff, a free breakfast, a friendly clean dog, and free WiFi. I will stay again next time I am in HCMC. The street food right in front and near it helps a lot too.

    Very Good

Beds were fine room was good. The main issue was communication. There were two workers who spoke English well, but they were not around often and during the important times. Nevertheless the workers who didn't speak English well we're very nice and did their absolute best to help. Many of the guest seem to be living there and the atmosphere was not the best. The common area was small and not so inviting.

    Very Good

Me and my friend stayed here for 2 nights, our stay was adequate. The rooms were quite dark and dated (not like the light picture) and the family who run the hostel live in the rooms that you stay in so there’s lots of stuff hanging around and there is a strange atmosphere. The air con was leaking loudly at night also so our sleep was disturbed. Overall this hostel is good if you’re looking for a cheap stay and you’re not fussed about the rooms/cleanliness of where you are.

There was no vibe in this hostel, bathroom could have been cleaner. They didn’t provide the family dinner as there were not enough guests.
