A short stopover but everything I wanted. A quiet sleep on a clean bed. Lots of old Romanian things scattered around. A bit like a museum without paying a ticket. Saw a spinning wheel and a map of Romania with borders with Poland. Really neat!

Excellent location for Gara de Nord, if you're taking a train to/from the airport/ Bulgaria and many Romanian destinations. Rather run down and bathroom facilities very cramped. But it's cheap!

We only stayed for one night and the room and the beds were fine, however the bathroom was very dirty, no toilet paper and the flush for the toilet was broken. We only saw two other guests but no one interacted with each other. If we had stayed longer, we might have had more chance to get to know other travelers, but that’s just a guess. It was around 30 minutes from the city center by train/walking which isn’t too bad.

Pay 4 what u get. Mosquitoes at night got in our room. Wi-fi was down for a day-ish. Bathroom flooded slightly. Lots of potential w an old house though. I arrived 1-2 hours after official reception close; emailed and called ahead to make sure that was ok, which they kindly allowed. But on arrival no one was there, so luckily a window was open and a guest helped me in. They apologized, however I saw others, and was told by others that the check-in was not always easy even during check-in time.

we arrived in Bucharest to the hostel and no one was waiting in the reception for us. we were ringing the bell, trying to find someone on the phone and still nothing. finally, after adding some credit for romanian numbers on my phone, we found someone from the hostel, and she dared say that there was NO booking in my name, that we haven’t paid for anything even though we had prepaid the first night, and that she can’t do anything for us since there were no rooms available. worst hostel on Earth.
