Me and my boyfriend stayed for five days at Villa Isabela and had a wonderful time! The hostel is set in a beautiful location up in mountains near San Gil, so it's the perfect place to retreat for a while. Fabian, Lara and Paul were all so lovely and very helpful. Fabian and Lara helped us to organise kayaking and gave us lots of information about the local area! We were invited to have family dinners with them in the evening which was great and the food was delicious! Highly recommend!

We originally booked in for 2 nights, but my friend and I got ill on the first day so ended up staying an extra night - Lara, Fabian, Paul and little Liam were the perfect hosts. They did everything they could to make us feel comfortable and help us get better. The hostel itself has a really laid back family vibe which was perfect for what we wanted, it's situated in a beautiful location up in the hills outside of San Gil but the town is still super accessible. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

Close to San gil (4~5 km), the farm allows to feel a quiet atmosphere away from the noisy town. Sandra (Colombia) and Paul (USA) offered a good feeling us. Parking area perfect for our motorcycles. Our trip was focused in Parque Nacional del Chicamocha and villages around, and our meals always was away the hostel. The room was not as decorate than others hostels, but the value for money compensate it. There is an hammock perfect for relax!. Their future plans for a techno barn sounds great!

Paul and Maria were very welcoming, warm, and overall interesting people. If you take the mogotes bus from San Gil it will be on your right! Anyway, no breakfast was a bummer since this place is up in the mountains and the wifi never worked for us but it's a wonderful spot. They were super accommodating. We had the place to ourselves so that was awesome as well. Many insects at night, and friendly hostel dogs/cats!

Nice and pretty hostel. Out of the city, but gives you great views. Nice people working there, but be aware that it is a very "German environment". I arrived later the first night and nobody was awake anymore, so I just slept on the outdoor couch and was still charged the full price though...

If you like dogs you will like the hostel, I felt that the hostel was unorganised. It was a cheap place to stay for 1 night. The hostel didn't seem like it gets many guests. It was good to be away from the city for a night. The people who worked there were nice and made a great Breakfast.
