It was more like staying at a clean friend's nice apartment in Venice! If you're tall, watch your head, though. VERY close to the station and vaporetti/tragetti. Neighborhood? Fantastic: mostly quiet, and with a grocery store 5 minutes away, & a restaurant even closer. Kitchen: well-equipped. Rooms're cool, screened, and spacious- more moths than mosquitoes :) . The box AC works, tho "fan" mode (with an improvised shim) was enough for me, and also drowned out neighborhood noise nicely. Perfect.

Perfect private room and bathroom. Very relaxing and in a very quiet part of town away from touristy stuff. I felt like I was living local for the weekend. It was very authentic.

Our stay at VivaVenezia was great! Franco was very nice and welcoming. It was clean and simple with a large room and a nice little kitchen. The only downsides were that the thin windows and walls made any activity outside (there are a couple bars/restaurants nearby) very audible and its location is a bit far from the main sights (25 min walk to St. Mark's Square). However, there is a fantastic pizza place around the corner that made up for the distance.

Google maps location is wrong ! Instead head to Trattoria Pizzeria All'Anfora, its around the corner from there (they do great pizza too). The location is great and close to the train and bus stations. Its a lovely small property with just two private dorms, ours was very spacious and the beds were comfy! The kitchen was practical and had plenty of equipment to use. The breakfast is very simple and basic - cornflakes, milk, bread, jam and nutella. The host was very friendly and quick to reply

The place was in a quiet little part of Venice which was nice, so there wasn't much noise from people walking through the streets. The kitchen was nice and we were able to make meals there a few times, and the provided breakfast was a nice! The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. Franco was helpful if we had questions, let us check out later than advertised, printed our boarding passes for us- only thing that concerned us was that he took pics of our passports, instead of writing.

Check in was easy, close to the station in Venice and short walk (~15 minutes) to Rialto bridge. Beds were comfortable, and room was very large. The host made sure to refill all the kitchen items everyday and helped with maps.

BEWARE the host will demand more once you arrive and ignore that website states that “ALL TAXES INCLUDED”. The host also has misogynistic tendencies. Upon arrival from an exhaustive journey asked ME why my girlfriend was so serious as she was standing right there. He handed me my girlfriends card when she had clearly been the one to pay and was right next to me. He attempted to ignore her when she spoke and stormed out in the middle of her speaking when she asked for price clarification
