WOW Amsterdam is so much more than just a hostel. It's part of a buzzing complex that also has artists' studios and an exhibition space. As well as chic industrial-style décor and bright colours throughout, you'll find a ton of activities that'll help you make the most of your stay, from concerts to fashion shows. Make plans for the day with your fellow travellers over free breakfast buffet each morning. At our on-site restaurant, you'll find tasty meals priced at just €7.50. Don't forget to visit the Plantage, our small urban farm where we grow and harvest our own fresh produce.

You'll find us in a vibrant Amsterdam neighbourhood that's a quick 20-minute journey from the city centre. To get to central sights like the Anne Frank House, the sprawling Vondelpark and of course the Red Light District, just take the bus from the Bos en Lommerplein stop (a 9-minute walk away). There's also a tram station, Wiltzanghlaan, 2 minutes' walk away – hop on to catch a connecting train that will take you to Schiphol Airport. Hire a bike from us and explore the local area, or follow one of the bike lanes into the old town.

Rooms and Dorms

Choose a mixed or female-only dorm with an en-suite or shared bathroom, or treat yourself to a private double with a workspace and a TV (not to mention views over the garden). Whatever room you book, you'll get free bed linen and your own personal storage locker (just remember to bring a padlock!).

Extras and activities

When you fancy a lazy afternoon, check out our patio where you can grab a deck chair if it's a sunny day. Communal areas also have pool tables and foosball – so they're the perfect place to make friends. Free Wi-Fi throughout means it's easy keep in touch with the folks back home.

This was my first experience, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But it was a great experience, one of the best I'll say.

It's a bit far from city center if you have to walk but there's public transports nearby and you can rent bikes so it's alright! Staff are very friendly and all spaces are very big, comfy and very clean! If I come back to Amsterdam, sure will stay here again! Thank you

Staff were helpful. Rooms where clean and bedding provided. Lock boxes on wheels were available under the bunks but were quite loud - make sure to pack a lock to go on the box. A great and simple breakfast was provided. Not a hostel with a party atmosphere. Location required public transport to get to the main area but still had places to eat and buy food near by.

Nice clean beds, enough shower and more than enough toilets. Breakfast is decent. Bunker bed second floor is a little high but you will get used to it. You need a lock to use the case to put your stuffs which u can buy from the reception. Overall, it is more than good to stay.

Really cool building and rooms. Bunk beds are very tall but lots of room. Not a great breakfast selection so only used it once while I stayed there. The hostel is a little far away from the centre but a 10 minute walk to the main road there is a tram that takes you right into the centre and with a 24-hour pass on public transport it made it really easy. By the tram stop, there is also a local supermarket so we were able to grab some food. The lockers were nice and big just bring a lock!

The place is ok for the money. The staff isn’t very friendly but it’s helpful. They only issue is that I asked a guy on a night shift to help me make the microwave work and was no help at all. Not happy with the idea of having to purchase a plastic fork from the vending machine either to eat my dinner. The location feels a bit unsafe if you are a woman travelling alone as it gets dark early and the walk down from the tram stop is very lonely. The rooms are clean so are the toilets.

Excellent breakfast, nice facilities, but not so good location and some terrible staff members. Some of them are really nice, but the cleaners start expelling you from your room about one hour before checkout deadline and one specific staff member is extremely rude, keeps lecturing people for stupid things (mainly targeting guests who are non-EU citizens) and has absolutely no patience with groups of travellers at checkin. If it's possible, avoid this place.

If you are looking for a quiet hostel this is the place to go. It has a supermarket very close by BUT no cooking facilities! So if you are trying to save some money this may not be he place for you. Contential breakfast provided each day which is great, we had one dinner there too. Very tasty, home style cooking with large portion plus salad. Staff could be happier. It’s ok but it’s not great.

Staff instead of being helpful rather had an attitude, they should find another job that suits them better.
