Hostelworld says

Wake Up! Sydney Central was rated the \'Most Popular Hostel in Sydney\' at the 2017 Hoscars and it's no wonder - this hostel is located just next to the Central Station, near Paddy's Market and Chinatown and a short walk from Darling Harbour. Travellers tell us they appreciate the hostel\'s 'very engaging community', with staff who 'are super friendly and go out of their way to accommodate you', hosting parties and events every day. We like their attention to little details, providing rare extras such as an on-site ATM as well as hooks and shelves in the showers.

A really nice place to stay, especially if it’s your first time being in a hostel. It felt more like a hotel if anything. Bedrooms were spacious and clean.

It's a well located party hostel. First days were tough since I was looking for rest which I didn't get (people constantly coming in and out of the dorm at late hours, plus hall noise). It was alright afterwards, easy to meet people. Bathrooms are usually clean, dorms and facilities are good but the elevator is a tad slow.

Wasnt overly impressed with this hostel. Rooms really lacked extra plug sockets and beds didn't feel properly clean. The lift system was very slow so you had to wait ages to go down with no stairs clearly visible to use. The kitchen and communal eating area was too small the size of the building and got crowded and noisy very quickly. A more quiet communal area was lacking from this hostel. Couldn't fault the location though and travel staff were helpful.

Wake Up! Sydney Central says

I think what makes us different is that we offer an experience, not just a bed. We add value to your room rate by offering free daily activities, including a city orientation tour twice a week, a beach walk, football outings and more. On check-in you'll receive lots of vouchers with discounts, including a free beer in our bar and free coffee in the café. In fact, we've got everything all under one roof: whether you want to do your laundry, get online, watch TV in our common areas, connect to Wi-Fi, prepare your own food, withdraw cash, book a tour, have a beer, coffee or a cheap meal, Wake Up is fully equipped to serve you!
We offer easy access to all of Sydney's main attractions. I recommend taking the short bus ride to the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, or over to Bondi Beach.
We cater mainly to 18-30-year-old travellers on a budget but all adults are welcome and we do cater for people with special needs or disabilities. Unfortunately, we don't have facilities suitable for children. Dev Penny, General Manager

Things to Note

Please note that Wakeup has a 24 hour cancellation policy on all bookings except those between 21 Dec and 3 Jan. During this special period bookings need to be prepaid and are not refundable or transferable.

For last minute, multiple person reservations, in periods of high demand it may not be possible to put all occupants in the same room. We shall certainly do our best though.

Please note that unfortunately we do not accept guest under the age of 18!
