Awesome place! I wish they had locations in other cities too. First hostel Ive stayed at with super clean bathrooms and no lines to wait for one! They also have a pretty big backyard and I was able to workout which was nice. Its located on a street with other businesses so the community felt very safe and quiet. You are given a washcloth, towel, and blanket on your bed. There were plenty of windows in my room (HOUSTON SPORTS ROOM) and I like the fact that they offer themed rooms.

Had to find accommodations at the last minute and this hostel was very helpful. It was super clean and cutely decorated. It was nice to have a kitchen to make my own meals and I enjoyed the hammock they have outside. My commute to downtown Houston was only a 9 minute drive from the hostel. I highly recommends.

Super helpful staff. I had to call a thousand times before checking in and the staff was really patient and kind. Safe, quiet location but located super close to midtown and downtown houston. This literally was one of the cleanest hostels I have ever stayed at and they have full sized beds (most hostels have twin, so this was a pleasant surprise).

I 've stayed in 4 hostels before and Wanderstay H was my favorite. It feels so homey! I really felt like I got a great value for my money because I paid $35 per night in an area where the hotels were $150 per night. The staff was so kind and helpful and there is a room in the hostel that has tons of maps, food ideas, and things to do.

Great hostel with nice huge beds and wifi that was good enough to Skype home everyday. It's in a neighborhood that feels safe and the actual hostel is very cozy. It was also very clean! The woman at the front was super helpful. They have a board up front that gives activitu suggestions,it's pretty cool.

We were greeted by the nicest front desk staff and we knew our stay would be great from there. HUGE beds!!!! Very clean and tons of people in house for the Rodeo which is why I traveled to Houston! The metro rail was only a 15 minute walk away which took us right to NRG! Thanks Wanderstay.

I would say if it it wasn't for the virus obviously, I'd be able to give it a normal review. However I was happy to be the only person in my dorm which I received a good night's rest. The establishment was clean and secure and I'm sure if not for COVID19, the place would be more lively and energetic as one would typically expect be present at a hostel.

    Very Good

    11 Mar 2020
The hostel was pretty empty with not much of a social vibe. It is located near a highway. I emailed and messaged them through Facebook about Texas Rodeo, but they never responded to those. When I asked for an extra warm blanket, the receptionist was really honest about the washing machine being broken and did her best to get me a blanket, which she succeeded! The people I met at the hostel weren't there for a holiday, like me, but mostly working.
