This place was absolutely amazing, a small haven in the heart of stone town. Staff were so friendly and room + breakfast were absolutely beautiful. Could not recommend highly enough.

Loved my stay at Warere for all the same reasons as the other reviews; the staff, the location, and the relaxed feel of the hotel were all wonderful. I would highly recommend Warere (and Zanzibar in general) for other solo woman travelers like me, I felt safe and comfortable while exploring different parts of the beautiful city.

Great view from the roof (delicious breakfast included). Rooms have AC. Environmentally aware. Able to get beers and water when needed (i.e. In the middle of the night if you run out of water and are thirsty). Beautiful building near he ferry dock.

We really enjoyed staying at Warere in Stone Town. Our room was bright, clean and airy. Although our balcony was not big, it was cool and breezy and a good place to relax when the heat got too oppressive. The best thing about the Warere are the staff. Our luggage was delayed (Do not fly on Precision Air) for somewhat nebulous reasons and the staff went out of their way to make sure our luggage made it back to us.

We stayed two nights and found the staff very helpful. On the third day we could leave our bags and come back for a shower at night before we went to the airport. They lent us towels for this. Breakfast was a variety of fruit and breads and eggs ( choose how cooked and the first morning sausages . There was juice and tea and coffee . I would have liked the option to buy /get hot water for tea and coffee during the day. It was quiet and handy to Stone Town attractions

Great location for the ferry. Friendly staff who are very happy to help advise on tours, transport and general introduction to Stone Town. Walking distance to all sights and we felt very safe as did our children. Lovely roof terrace for breakfast and also available for drinks and food at other times.

    Very Good

    19 Jun 2018
I had a room on ground floor next to the neighbour's house. There was a lot of noise from 4h30 in the morning until nearly midnight like banging of doors, constant knocking and screaming children. The way to Stone Town was long, unpleasant and unsafe? Breakfast was poor. Only bread and eggs and fruit. No ham or bacon.
