As great as its reputation. Come here if you are looking for a looot of fun. My only criticism: a hostel without a kitchen for preparing your own food is not a real hostel, full stop! At least some cutlery and a microwave are basic standard. Cooking is an essential part of the backpacking fun for me and I can't eat streetfood or afford the restaurant meals everyday...

We loved Wild Rover in La Paz, we had heard it was the place to stay & so we booked a week there. It’s a very socialable hostel, easy to meet other travellers. Events on every night of the week! We stayed in a superior dorm (pod) it’s perfect you can just close the curtain and shut yourself off when needed. The food is generally good, especially the spicy chicken curry! The wifi is sometimes bad, but I found a secret spot for perfect wifi... go into the girls dressing/make up room on ground level

Great place to stay for a party weekend, but anything more than 3 night would be too much!

Comfortable beds & rooms, nice staff on the front desk, good security. Lively atmosphere in the bar at night but a bit lame, with quite bad early 2000s music, staff screaming countdowns to every time they do a shot, and letting people smoke in the bar. Had a good time but would get boring quite quickly.

Staff were really hot and cold. Some were really helpful while others were not. They messed up our booking and wouldn't print our bill for us. Bar and common areas were cool though and very lively. Having wristbands meant we didn't have to keep withdrawing cash which is a great idea!
