This place is magic. I have stayed in many hostels and this is one of my favorites. The atmosphere and vibes are incredible, it’s a little hippie paradise. The dorms are safe, clean and have amazing views. Food is phenomenal and WiFi is good. I would recommend this to anyone. The fire pit is a must after dark and if you have time get a stick and poke tattoo from Lucy! Everything about this place is remarkable

This place is heaven on Earth. I can’t put into words what my week here meant to me. The community, the cross-pollination of ideas and stimulating conversation, the nature and fresh air, even the comfy beds and cottage-like dorms, oh and the FOOD! I will be back someday. Jenni and the Wild Spirit volunteers/staff are some of the greatest people I’ve ever met. Thank you ❤️❤️

Friends and I stayed here while we were doing the garden route. It’s beautiful! They have awesome breakfast and dinner options, as well as a pretty nice kitchen. Down the road there is the cutest farm stall where WiFi and treats can be found. The dorms are clean and everyone was super friendly. Definitely recommend!

Wild spirit is an incredible place. The location and the view from the common area - looking at the natural reserve - is just stunning. Is very green and well maintained, with a lot of cute spots such as the tree house. Staff is friendly and the food that they serve is really nice. Highly recommended

Cleanliness depends on the dorm. The Forest House is pretty old and rundown with lots of spiders inside. Other dorm buildings are fine. Great staff that helps you with everything. Food is amazing, same is the vibe. Showers take long to heat up and the stream is quite slow...

Overall I enjoyed my stay. It has a nice vibe, is in a beautiful location and has friendly staff and owners. However I was very disappointed with the hypocrisy of Wild Spirit who at the same time as having many pets on the property including chickens and signs proclaiming we should be kind to animals offered guests meat, dairy and eggs. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this backpackers as a true eco experience to anyone truly concerned by issues of sustainability and animal welfare.
