the staff were always very friendly and always happy to help, the bar was nice, but there was never many people in there which is a shame, the hostel itself was lovely though, and it was very close to the naschmarkt which is convenient for food etc, would definitely stay again

Pros - good location, nice staff, clean bedding Cons - room of 8 had 1 shared bathroom which was a toilet separate to the shower/sink. Toilet made a very loud flush which is annoying in the night and if someone is using the shower you can’t wash your hands. No communal showers. Have to make and strip your own bed which is not convenient when you arrive at 11pm and half your room is asleep so cannot turn on the light. Bar was closed but staff did give recommendation for bar to walk to.

Pros: central location, very clean, safe. Cons: huge and makes it not so easy to connect with other travelers. You also need to prepare your bed with the sheets on your own and that's tough if you arrive late night cuz roommates are sleeping. The atmosphere and staff are not that welcoming. Not friendly at all.

Wombat's The City Hostel Vienna Naschmarkt says

I think what makes Wombats special is that there is not the single unique thing making it special, but that we do a very good job in having it all. At this Wombats the Naschmarkt is right in front of the door. It's a unique farmer's market, the biggest in Vienna. Most stalls, as well as the buildings on the avenues on both sides, were built around 1910 in Art Nouveau style. It's not only one of Vienna's most important sights, there are also a big number of cafés, bars and restaurants, from local to exotic.
For fun, our guests like to waste themselves with beer, Jägermeister or a combination thereof. We can't deny that. A good night's sleep can be fun, too, though. It can be had; the rooms are well away from the brouhaha. And they're big, not crammed and stuffy.
