Staff was very friendly & helpful. My private room was big, well kept, had a ensuite shower/air con & was very clean. The property is very well-maintained & has a great layout which makes you feel like you're in a rural, tropical setting & not a suburb of Scarness. The kitchen area is very clean & well equipped. Being such a small hostel there was plenty of fridge & cubby space which was a huge plus as I'm finished with the party hostels at this point in my travels. Very relaxing hostel!

Really friendly staff. We came late and had problems figuring out how to get our room key.(our own fault)We went into the staff house and They were so friendly and helped us get our room, even tho they were off duty. They offer shuttle bus to and from greyhound bus stop and distance to beach and shopping is not that far. Just a great place in general!

A decent room with clean beds in the place we needed an overnight stay. Very accommodating with our late arrival and early start - would definitely stay there again if we were looking for hostels in the area.

    Fabulous

It‘s such a nice hostel. I was picked up and dropped off to the Greyhound Bus, that was super helpful. They are all so lovely and nice. I did not know what I wanted to do during my stay here so they showed me what I could do and they can also book tours for you. The rooms are good and the kitchen and chill area were so cool and relaxing. I had two awesome nights, free pasta night and playing cards and 6$ pizza and a quiz. If you are coming to Hervey Bay, you should come here!!

Staff were great and able to accommodate a late check-in, which was much appreciated. Cute and quirky place and everything was clean. Paid a little extra for air con in our private room but it didn’t work so well. Didn’t get a chance to spend much time making full use of the facilities as it was just a quick one night stop over but they seem to offer lots of activities! Free luggage storage and transfer to the Greyhound bus stop as well, which was super helpful.

Nice hostel for nights stop over, week was bit too long. Dorms have fans not air con despite reading air con on hostel world. We had to move to a double room due to heat being unbearable. Staff very accommodating & Cookie the bird is so cute. Good communal kitchen space and outside bbq and hammocks. Good bike hire and shuttle to and from greyhound. The WiFi was really awful and needs improvement, for me good WiFi is a must for a hostel, as a traveller you rely on it for a lot

Aircon didn't work in the room and they had only one fan to keep the room cool which was not enough as it is a big room. Wifi was terrible. And in the morning the boss I am assuming came in when I was lying on the sofa watching TV told me the take my feet of his 'beautiful' couch which is a strange way to describe a couch also Stange way to talk to a paying customer. If only he was as worried about the air con and wifi as much as he was worried about his 'beautiful' couch.

There were 20 big black flies in our room as if someone let the door open and let them all in. It was unsleepable. We left and slept at another motel. We would like a refund. Please contact me at kaliskyryan@gmail.com. I have a video.
