We loved it in every way apart from we thought some of the food could be improved ( which is not featured in the star review questions above). It doesn’t take much to make an interesting sandwich with salad as well as tuna and few people enjoy thick wedges of cheap margarine. More veg at at dinner would also have been good. I don’t mean to sound too critical because overall we loved it and it was friendly. Oh one more thing - £1.75 for a tea bag and a splash of milk to make our own tea !?!?!

Wonderful stay! Wonderful, accommodating and cheerful staff. The surroundings are beautiful beyond belief. The hostel is clean with all the facilities one might want - including a drying room. I asked out of curiosity about wifi and was delighted there wasn't any!, so it was a proper day away from civilisation! :) Would definitely stay again!

We stayed there so we could hike scaffel pike the next day which is about an hours drive away from this hostel. Really friendly staff and helpful if you want to make an itinerary. Breakfast was really good and worth the money. Beds were comfortable. Only slight downside was water not working the following morning.
