Great location in central London. Enjoyed using the common area - nice environment with lots of people. Large lockers in room to put luggage - have to bring your own padlocks. Comfy beds. There was a fan in the room which was great with the hot summer. No wifi in the rooms and although not too bothered by this, would have been good if was told beforehand. Strong power shower. Lots of fridge space to store your own food.

I ended up at the YHA Oxford location. It’s all great. My only problem was WiFi isn’t in the dorm rooms, only in common area. Great aircon in common area. Def would stay at Oxford location again.

we were in room 003 (first floor) no window- more like a skylight but that was just fine. We were in a bunk of 6 but had booked it as a private room- plenty of storage space, private bathroom was handicapped accessible so it was HUGE! Great water pressure in the shower! No internet in the room- but we knew that going in. Internet in common room was quite good. Common room was very nice, never too crowded. Nice looking kitchen although we did not use it. There is a Sainsbury about a block away

I aways stay at YHA London Central when I'm in London. The location is perfect especially for people on short visits who want to be near to everything. The wifi worked great this time. The lift malfunctioned during my stay, but the staff (John? and .....? - sorry, I didn't get your name) were very responsive and did their best to accommodate my needs.

Having an en suite bathroom was nice, although it was hard to share with 8 people because there were not separate facilities for the toilet and shower. The rooms were hot without a fan, but when we got the fan it was nice! It was within walking distance of lots of restaurants and shops and 5 minutes walk from multiple underground stations.

Nice hostel, very clean. Only downside is that it isn't super convenient to get to the underground from the hostel; the closest station is a 10 min walk away. Minor gripe, though.

The common area didn't have many comfy places to sit and there was no wifi in the bedrooms, which meant sitting on a bench in an often-crowded and noisy room was the only way to get online. Otherwise, it was pretty good.

Overall a very welcoming Hostel. i do think that the booking staff could help older guests by perhaps putting them together in the same dorms. It is clear that people do not adhere to the courtesy suggestion between 11 pm and 7 a.m. I think this would make me reconsider YHA again. Over 40 years ago the YHA had different ethos and of cours enow it is about financial sustainability. So may people staring at their mobile phones, rather than talking to each other! None the less, thank you.

Worst hostel of my entire Europe trip. I can only think the good ratings on here must be from single rooms? For me in a dorm: 6 bunks cramped in a tiny tiny bedroom. All roommates were older men, 45-70+, who lived in the hostel and woke up for work every morning. Washroom facilities were bad. Single sink too small to wash my face. Shower always flooded the hallway and attendants had to clean the flood throughout the day. Small room stunk strongly. Rubber mattress was sweaty and noisy.

Air conditioner in room made a loud sustained alarm sound throughout the night every 5-10 minutes. Went to complain. Staff said that it was normal. This was an unfortunate experience for a great city. General comments: Many school groups use this hostel Many families also use it There are A LOT of rooms and beds in this hostel The good: The location is not particularly close to any one metro, but decently close to several different lines. Check in was a good experience.
