Hostelworld says

YHA London Oxford Street is all about location. As the name suggests, this hostel is just off Oxford Street in central Soho, a lively area of cafés, bars and shopping. This colourful hostel is frequently praised by Hostelworld guests for their clean and spacious rooms which include an individual light and power-point at each bunk. We like that this hostel is centred between three of London's most popular tube stations - Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road and Piccadilly Circus.

Property Description

A quiet hideaway from the bustle of the busiest street in the world, YHA Oxford Street allows you relax and have this fabulous city at your fingertips.

We have a variety of rooms available, from 2 to 4 bed, as well as offering dorm beds. All rooms have shared facilities.

None of our rooms are ensuite - showers and toilets are within easy access of all rooms.
Due to the hostel location and layout of the building we would not recommend families bring children under the age of 14 here. YHA St Pancras, Thameside and St Paul's hostels are much better suited to families.
Please note that our breakfast price is £4.99
Free Wi-Fi is available to all guests in communal areas

Reception is on the 3rd floor with lift access from the ground - accommodation on this floor is limited. Please note: There is no interior lift access to rooms above 3rd floor.
We apologise, but due to the building architecture we have no disabled facilities at YHA Oxford Street. YHA London Central has full disabled access and is our next nearest hostel.

Towels are available to rent or buy from reception, as are padlocks and travel adapters.
Smoking is prohibited across the entire UK in public buildings. Please do not smoke in our rooms.”

Loved the location, in the middle of things but still quiet at night with the window open. Provided everything we needed for a reasonable price

This hostel was simply amazing. The staff was beyond helpful in deciding what we should do and where we should go. It's highly secure and the location was just outside of the main strip off Oxford Circus. It was centrally located and easy to get to food and coffee and shopping and all public transportation. It was clean and quiet and the breakfast in the morning was awesome. The room had a great view of London and the beds were super comfortable.

The location is very central and the staff is very friendly which is a plus. The rooms are not too crowded which I really like. The only minor issue I have noticed is the thin walls. Some of the conversations of the other room can be easily heard when you are sleeping near the wall beside them. But overall, this hostel is a very good value for money hostel with some of the basic facilities you will need to enjoy London!

Very clean hostel in good location. We did not have breakfast there. Main thing we did not like was no internet in the rooms only in the common areas and at our stay it was not working well in the common areas either. Basic bunk facilities. Comfortable bed.

Unfortunately we had a room next to the toilet and you can hear the doors, the hand drier and the flushing what makes the nights quite short - everything else was really nice

Great location, super clean and plenty of bathrooms and showers. When we arrived, the elevator wasn’t working so we had to walk up 3 flights of stairs, but it was fixed by the end of the day. A lot of families stayed at the time we were there (maybe 6?)
