Newly refurbished rooms. Very child friendly and family orientated. Friendly staff.. Was more like a posh hotel than a hostel!

This place is extremely well-run. The staff is friendly and helpful and the building and rooms are clean and beautiful. My only complaint is it was a bit far from the city center. The buses are sometimes infrequent and a bit more costly than I expected for such a short distance. It's walkable (though part of the walk has no sidewalks). Still, it was a hassle to get to and from the hostel, especially at night after a play at the RSC. Overall a great place, though. Definitely worth the money!

A very pretty place to stay, staff were very friendly and accommodating, and we were able to have a good cheap breakfast in the morning. The only somewhat negative thing I have to say about this place is that it's in a residential area so it's a bit of a walk to get to any restaurants or pubs if the hostel pub is closed. Otherwise we had a great stay.

    Fabulous

This is a beautiful old listed building, but beware - no lift! I was on the top floor with a suitcase to lug up three flights of stairs. The staff were quite friendly, but a little abrupt. The kitsch was very well organized and clean with great facilities to make food. The bar is also very well set up. I enjoyed my stay overall, but the colors in the room and lighting were a bit vomit inducing. Not great if you suffer from migraines. It was an easy 45 minute walk into town. Clean and functional.

    Fabulous

I enjoyed my stay, and would definitely recommend it. The grounds are pleasantly verdant, and the hostel is well located with good links into Stratford, but it is definitely the staff that give Stratford YHA it's welcoming atmosphere and great service. Sarah was exceptional; she went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay. She was chatty and welcoming with all the guests, and despite zipping around everywhere doing things, she was never too busy to stop and be helpful.

Bit far of a walk from town, make sure to have a taxi number. Staff are accommodating, food is pretty good, overall would stay again.

No complaints - great staff, the room and bathrooms were perfectly clean, the grounds are beautiful if you have the time to stop and enjoy them. Only 3 lockers in the 6 bed dorm, but I think I saw many more lockers downstairs. Catch the bus 15 from Bridge Street or take a 35 min walk (you'll use your phone as a torch for the last 5 mins). Well signed. Definitely more of a hotel vibe than a hostel one but this still makes for relaxing evenings. Bar and restaurant on-site.

    Very Good

    08 Dec 2018
Clean, staff is kind, great breakfast for a cheap price. However, it's quite far away from the centre. I've seen the hostel response to other messages, they will say "there's a bus". True, but it's every hour on Sunday, it's expensive (£3.50 for a 10 minutes ride) and on Saturday there was no bus after the theatre show and I was left stranded. Uber kept delaying my journey. I walked back and it's 40 minutes on a very dark road. Place is good but keep in mind travelling to and from it

    Good

The location is not great - it's very far away from the main centre of town, and the buses don't go very frequently on the weekend. Plus, I had a room next to the main street, and it was very loud, and I woke up frequently at night. The staff were very helpful!
