Beautiful location, 5 minutes into the centre (train station) by bus or a leisurely 15 minute walk along the river. We had a two~bed private ensuite room that was basic but clean, quiet and comfortable. Hostel is clean and bright and Looks new and well~maintained. We didn't try the food as we ate out, but we had good beer and cider from the bar. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

My son and I stayed at the hostel in mid-March just before the COVID-19 shutdowns took place. Staff were very friendly and helpful - thanks Jane. Our room was perfect and we really appreciated having a window that opens. We walked between the hostel and York along the river which was a wonderful way to start and end our day. We'll be back!

A lovely hostel with great facilities, very clean and comforatble to stay in. Great bus connection and easy to walk into town and train station. Not a party hostel, but enough communal spaces to enjoy it and great rooms! Not the best wifi in our room, but it's so large. EXCELLENT shower and own light and powerpoint next to each bed. Happy days!

Nice dorm. Clean. Amazing king staff. A 20 minutes walk from the city centre. Nice kitchen to use. Not a classical hostel vibe. But a nice place to stay. Lots of family and business people.

Relatively disappointing overall. The cleanliness of the hostel was fine and the facilities were sufficient but there was zero atmosphere and for the price you would expect at least a simple breakfast would be included - I've had much better value for money in London of all places. If you are after socialising, meeting new people and fun hostel-run activities, i'd be inclined to go somewhere else.
