the awesome things about this place close to trail slightly away from the downtown core awesome members running the place clean and well organized shared spaces from bunk beds to kitchen / with the option of having your own room Downsides for those who want more personal space, it may feel like this isn't the right place as a lot of things are communal structure.

The hostel was very clean and curtains around the beds added a nice level of privacy. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great location and friendly staff. I know Banff is expensive but the cost of a bed alone here sharing with 7 others is really high. Overall a nice good hostel

    Superb

My first stay in a hostel, and it was a good experience. My only complaint was my bed was extremely squeaky, which makes sleeping in a room with other people uncomfortable. The staff were all super friendly, and a lot of the long term residence were helpful in recommend things. It is a good location, close to the village, but just across the river so there wasn't as much traffic.

    Fabulous

The location was fantastic- we could easily walk to nearby places of interest. The atmosphere of the facility was a bit dungeon like. The rooms are in the basement and they make you bring your own bedding up when you check out. However, there is a kitchen for communal use, so that's cool.

    Very Good

Friendly staff, clean space. Expensive for what it is, single room with shared bathroom is as much as a hotel room minus the hotel amenities...dorm beds are super squeaky. No fans in bathrooms.

We stayed at an 8-bed female dorm for one night and shower. We walked in to a girl smoking weed in the room chatting loudly on her phone. The room has not designated storage for each bed leaving no choice for some to leave their luggages on the floor and all over the place. It would most likely encourage respectful behaviour if more efforts are put into maintenance and reinforcing guest rules. Location is the only good feature, walking distance to town, hiking trail, hot spring, and gondola.

Our one night stay at the hostel was mediocre at best. However there was a big shabby dude that kept snoring like a warthog. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get the tv remote to work as it appeared to be Russian. The layout of the hostel is also very strange; as it took me around an hour to find my room after a good old sesh in the town. 4/10 but the free coffee at reception was nice. Staff are very helpful and was nice of them to take all my empty beer bottles to the bin from the carpark.

In dormetry room the bed frames are old and very unstable. Every time one Person turns around , right or left the fremes makes so much noisy that everyone in the room gets disturbed . Also very badly made. The one who sleeps top bank puts hers or his life in denger during climing up or down. Please one of you should try doing it so you can andurstend what i really mean it. Thank you.

I was utterly appalled at the state of this place and what I received for the extortionate amount I paid. I couldn’t sleep in two nights because of the rickety and unstable bed that squeaked every time I turned, and because of the very noisy generator that went on all night. The kitchen was in a horrendous state and the atmosphere was incredibly bleak. I felt like I was in an army barrack. Hostels are supposed to be a vibe. How did you guys get it so wrong?
