There is absolutely nothing bad I can say about this place. From the warm attitudes of the folks that run the place, to the value, to the breathtaking property and views. They even have some cool dogs and a horse that thinks he's a dog! You will not be disappointed if you book here. We will definitely be back some day!

Yambolombia has a wonderful and relaxed atmosphere in the beautiful and paradisiac surroundings of Salento. The staff is so friendly too. Its my favorite hostel so far, after 6 months of travelling in the Americas

Great secluded location with a beautiful view of the surrounding region. Although it is a ~40 minute walk from town, it’s a very short walk from many of the coffee farms in the area. Also, transport via Jeep to and from town is very inexpensive and easy to arrange. The hostel itself is small in terms of number of guests and had many other solo travelers, so it was easy to find people to do things with

Great place to stay. The hostel is a 20-minute walk away from the town, but as a reward you can enjoy an excellent view (and hammocks in their garden!). It is very clean and comfortable, breakfast offered (not included in the price but cheaper than any restaurant) is very good and they serve huge portions. Gabriel and Florencia were excellent hosts. I recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Salento.

Yambolombia was probably our favourite hostel we have stayed in South America :). The location is stunning and peaceful, a little out of town and very close to the coffee farms. The hostel is so nice, and the atmosphere of the hostel is very friendly. The breakfasts are cheap, huge and tasty! The best part of the stay though is the pet horse! She pops up behind you in the garden wanting attention all the time :-p

Yambolombia is the ultimate oasis in Salento -- peaceful, surrounded by nature, and lovely owners. My only complaint is that the dorm mattresses are a little thin and lumpy. The hostel is a little ways out of town, so be sure to make use of the public jeep system to get around! Bright coloured jeeps can take you to the hostel from the centre of town -- do NOT get ripped off by locals offering you a lift (like we did). Breakfast is extra money, but huge and delicious.

When we arrived worn down after a day of travelling, the owner warmly welcomed us with a cup of fresh ginger tea, while one guest was quietly strumming a guitar in background. Super chill place with great views. It's a 30 mins walk from Salento, but you can get a jeep from the main square for 8000 COP. Great breakfast (not included) and nice hot showers. Only downside was the mattress which thinned out in the middle, but this is a bit of a regular occurrence in Colombia.

We loved our stay there! The location was amazing! Was a 20 minute walk from town but meant you could really experience the beauty of the area! And we had no regrets not being in the town! Massive breakfast every morning for 8000COP and free coffee and ginger tea all day! The only con was that the building itself was a bit of a cave, both the bedroom and the living area but there were hammocks outside with the most amazing views which made up for it!
