This is the best place I’ve stayed in so far in Cambodia. I booked for two nights and ended up staying for two more and if I wasn’t time constrained I would have stayed longer. Dave and the rest of the staff are super helpful and good company to chat. This place has got everything: swimming in the sunset, chilling on hammock, amazing food cooked onsite and a great bar. Totally recommend this place!

A beautiful, peaceful location, but close enough to enjoy Kampot. It 6kms out of Kampot down quite a rough road, but that’s about a $5USD Trip. They also rent scooters for $6USD so the location slightly out of town is no hassle at all, in my opinion it made the hostel! Loved our stay! Good, affordable food and drinks available too and everyone was really friendly.

The roads to Yellow Sun Hostel were a nightmare which meant we arrived late. The manager was warned of our lateness and waited for us. Our dorm was cool, clean and comfortable. The best shower and overall facilities were great. The views, sunsets and vibe were so worth our journey and the staff were friendly and helpful. A gem of a hostel.

We loved staying at yellow sun even if we did come in the rainy season. It is along the river which is so relaxing. All the dogs are so adorable we didn’t want to leave!! The dorm rooms are basic but that is what you pay for and you are more in the wilderness too. The social area is on the river, And I would recommend watching the sunset with a beer. We miss all the dogs😭😂

This place is a small piece of paradise. I absolutely loved my stay here, the staff are super friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome the minute you arrive. Accommodation and everything else is basic, but that's what your paying for but it makes it feel more like a paradise back to basics. The atmosphere is great and I met some lovely people, the views are also beautiful especially at sunset. I loved my stay here and will be returning.

This place is really far out, so all the tuk tuk rides add up. Would recommend getting the PassApp as it is cheaper to order a tuk tuk than getting one through the hostel. Bathrooms are really gross and there’s sand in the rooms, I guess the chill area makes up for it. The electricity went out for a couple of hours. Honestly, I would only recommend staying here for one night. Also, didn’t get my deposit for the towel back because no one was at reception at 8am?

Was not impressed with this hostel at all. No wifi, you need to go buy something in the restaurant beside the hostel to get some sort of wifi. Dorm rooms don’t even close never mind lock. Felt so unsafe and on edge. Beds weren’t comfortable and rooms jist full of mosquitos. Bathrooms were filthy and never any toilet roll. The view is lovely from the hostel but nothing else to say about it. Pretty far from the main town too so if you don’t drive motorbikes its $5 in a tuk tuk each way.
