This place is amazing. Such a little slice of paradise. Quite basic, but everything is functional and clean (the sand gets around but that's what happens when you're staying ON a beach. Best to rent a scooter when you arrive in Kampot so that you can come and go easily, but they also rent them there, and it's a great place to just chill for a few days. And the food is great.

Amazing hostel with wonderful view of the river and mountains surrounded by nature. Really enjoyed the hammoks and sunsets and the relaxed atmosphere. Whatever you do, however, do not buy the ticket to Korong island as the bus company is despiseful. You've been warned.

The roads to Yellow Sun Hostel were a nightmare which meant we arrived late. The manager was warned of our lateness and waited for us. Our dorm was cool, clean and comfortable. The best shower and overall facilities were great. The views, sunsets and vibe were so worth our journey and the staff were friendly and helpful. A gem of a hostel.

We loved staying at yellow sun even if we did come in the rainy season. It is along the river which is so relaxing. All the dogs are so adorable we didn’t want to leave!! The dorm rooms are basic but that is what you pay for and you are more in the wilderness too. The social area is on the river, And I would recommend watching the sunset with a beer. We miss all the dogs😭😂

Location is the most important thing about this hostel - on the riverside. The view is amazing. If you want an escape where you can relax, socialise with the staff (all amazing people), kayak and generally just disconnect for a bit then this is perfect. Dave, the guy who runs it, is a great help and a laugh to be around. The town is a bit far out but he will arrange Tuk Tuks for a good price and bus travel to wherever you go next. Well worth the stay - do it, and tell him Morgan sent you!

This place is a small piece of paradise. I absolutely loved my stay here, the staff are super friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome the minute you arrive. Accommodation and everything else is basic, but that's what your paying for but it makes it feel more like a paradise back to basics. The atmosphere is great and I met some lovely people, the views are also beautiful especially at sunset. I loved my stay here and will be returning.

This hostel is rustic. There’s no AC and the WiFi doesn’t always work. It is also pretty far from town (15 minute drive), so the cost can add up if your taking tuk-tuks. I rented a motorbike though and it was great. The view right on the river is amazing and the staff are really friendly. The atmosphere and laid back vibe are the reason to stay here!

The social area and staff are fantastic! However because the hostel is set up on sand the rooms are constantly covered in it which makes them feel dirty. There’s no WiFi or AC either meaning the rooms also get very hot.
