Excellent breakfast! Buffet continental and coffee machine. A decent hostel overall with good facilities. 10 minute uphill walk from the shuttle station.

Bit of a trek from the train station with ski bag especially when an even better hostel is across the street from the train station. Lots of french school kids. But incredible breakfast and fun twenty-something backpackers to party with.

Super awesome location. 10 minute walk down to one of the ski gondolas, less than 5 minute walk into the town center. Cheapest beer in town probably. Really clean. Beware that it's a proper youth hostel though as in there was a group of over 60 that were 12-15 years old screaming down the halls on a school trip.

Great breakfast, but there’s no kitchen that we can use, also there’s no hand soap in our bathroom, check in is way too late

The hostel is pretty nice considering its the one of the cheapest in Zermatt. Dorms were good. There were a lot of noisy teens on school break (I assume) when I was there in January.

My review is entirely dependent on my personal situation. I want to manage expectations for any young travelers looking to meet other young people. This is no the place. The hostel caters to a lot of families and older travelers. It is not a fun, lively, engaging, warm community. The facilities are blah. I would have preferred to get a hotel for a little extra money, and meet people at the bars. The location isn't great as it is on top of a really big hill far away from the lifts and town.

Pretty basic hostel. Front desk staff was super nice and the breakfast spread was really great! The plugs next to the beds are in the worst way you can place them. Also very far from the train station and other things.

I was placed in an out building in the basement I felt very unsafe and afraid. When I checked in at reception I was very shocked to see this very unkept young man and stinking of smoke not what I would expect from this location. More like a city doss house. I made no complaint about my room in the out building as I was not sure about the young man at reception, so I went downtown to the tourist information and had them find me a hotel in town for my 2 night stay in Zermatt.
