Zostels are always great as usual to stay. The view of this hostel and the location were great. The staff is very friendly and Aman is a great host. I recommend Zostel ooty for any backpacker who visits Ooty. Don't stay anywhere else. Stay here only 😛

Harshal was really helpful and gave me some good advice on the roads to take (I was traveling by motorcycle). I really had a great time with him. Overall the place was really nice and clean.

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed. I'm sure you will meet quality people in the hostel. Don't forget to speak with Zan (Manager) about spots where no tourists will be around.

Well-located (bit of a hill but what else will work off all that curry?), friendly staff (especially Tulip who was always ready to help organise a trip or evening activities!), comfy beds with thick sleeping-bag-like covers (because it gets COLD at night), good place to meet other travellers to go wondering around & about Ooty with. Would definitely come again!

Had an awesome stay at Zostel Ooty. It’s located a little way out of the centre of Ooty - but overlooking the city and a small tea plantation so very beautiful. Such a great vibe here, so many good common areas and the bonfire creates a really nice atmosphere. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Outdoor toilets/showers but not really an issue. Staff are so friendly and happy to help out however they can!

It was okay but could have been way cleaner. All the fitings in the bathroom were in bad condition inside the ladies room. The flush, the jet and everything. Also, it wasn't clean. The ladies room was too tiny to accomodate six people. Also, it didn't have any windows or ventilation.

We were surprised to find the bed did not have a top sheet, just blankets which smelled so are obviously not washed after each guest. Hot water in the bathroom is limited, we resorted to using a bucket for the duration of our stay. Food service takes an incredibly long time, and in my hot chocolate I found a large dead fly floating. Staff all seem to sit around for most of the day on their phones. No atmosphere to this hostel and staff don’t seem to care if you’re there or not.
