I don't understand how this place has gotten all the bad reviews. I very much enjoyed my stay. The staff was friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant. And the dorms were clean. All for a good price. I would definitely stay here again when I return to Munich.

We stayed during Oktoberfest. Great location to Oktoberfest and the train station, easily walkable. When we arrived they had changed our booking to be in an 8 bed room rather than a 6 bed, they had not let us know this in advance, and didn’t really care about saying sorry. But at least they gave us the lower price of an 8 bed room.

Hostel is in a decent location and overall it’s fine. Our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay so even though it was cleaned when we arrived it was pretty gross by the end. There’s not much of an atmosphere either, even during Oktoberfest’s closing weekend!

A great hostel if you want somewhere relatively cheap to stay and don’t need any of the added extras. Only a 15 minute or so walk into the centre, where the Altstadt is, with all the tourist attractions and shops. Public transport is also widely available in the area and it is quite close to the Hauptbahnhof as well. Bedding was provided but no towel so remember to bring one with you. Breakfast is available at the hostel but has a charge of €7 so I would recommend visiting a local café

You get what you pay for. We needed a cheap hostile to check into after Oktoberfest and we found this place last minute. The bathroom was very dirty but the rooms, beds, sheets were very clean ✔️ there’s almost no security at this place and anyone can come and go. Also our 12 bed room only had 1 wall plug

My friend and me checked into the hostel in the night and there were some two old men smoking weed. The whole room was stinking. I requested for change of room. Yes, they agreed to do it very nicely. But this hostel is like a hospital, the hallway is small, the breakout area is very small. I wonder on what basis do they charge so much for a hostel. We stayed in berlin with the same a&o hostel and Berlin was beautiful. The property was big. This property runs only because of the name.

I think they need more staff during peak hours because there was a very long line the few times I was in the lobby. The hallways smelled like cigarettes constantly and the showers were a little dirty. It was cheap for its location (very close to Octoberfest) and for being in Munich. The social area is just a typical hotel lobby. The bar is good but I the only time I went to get a drink a bartender wasn't in sight for about 20 minutes so I left. The room was decent and had a bathroom.

It served its purpose but mold in the bathroom, every night I came back someone was in my bed, 1 charging outlet in a room with 4 beds, tax everything, and the young guy with the leather jacket behind the bar was a complete jerk. If I ever come back which I won't because Munich sucked I would pay more money to not stay in a shit box. No locks provided either. Cops were there one night due to a robbery. Place is for the young or broke only.
