Property Description

DEN is a warm and relaxing hostel.

The building is a former office building, freshly renovated. We made our hostel modern, but also gave it a touch of traditional Japan, using Japanese color schemes and paintings, and also putting tatami (bamboo mats) into our 1st floor lounge area.

DEN is also the first hostel in Japan to attend to the needs of travelers from any country, as we have a prayer room free for our guests to use.

We have four different types of rooms, including mixed and female dormitories, and two types of private rooms.

Although our beds are simple, our guests will feel the most comfort staying in them, as each room has large windows that bring in plenty of sunlight during the day.

We also want our guests to feel secure in our rooms, so we have provided lockers and luggage chains in each of our dormitory rooms.

Awesome hostel! Loved the international staff who come from all over the world. Super convenient with laundry and cute facilities. The hostel is in the business district with easy access to public transportation and cute restaurants in surrounding neighborhoods. This is one of my favorite hostels in Tokyo.

One of the cleanest (!) hostels I have been to. It was a nice, cosy atmosphere in a nicely sized hostel. If you are looking for something a size smaller than the massive anonymous hostels, you should come here! The lockers for the suitcase were great and very handy, the staff was super helpful and the location was great too! I'd definitely come again. Thanks a lot guys. :-)

I always enjoy my stay at hostel staff. While it may not be right next to the station, it is not far and it is in a nice quiet area with a grocery store and bath house just around the corner. I’ve often had fun making friends there and going out to get drinks and snacks and bringing them back to the hostel. In the common area, we played games and Nintendo switch together. Very clean and the nice staff always make me feel welcome. Great for solo travelers cause you can make friends here! Love

One of the best hostel experiences I've had. Very clean and spatious, the showers were bigger than your standard hostel shower and pretty much inmaculate. Staff are very friendly and willing to answer any questions and give you tips on where to go! Really great atmosphere, met some great people during our stay at Hostel Den! Convenient location with a subway station a short 3min walk away and a couple of convenience stores near by!

I ended up getting into Tokyo very late and struggled trying to find the hostel from the metro, but all of that stress was alleviated once I checked in. The handy phone was a great service and saved me some money on buying a sim. It’s a short walk away from a couple metro stations, has a super friendly staff, and was an incredibly comfortable space. There were a variety of different activities hosted during my stay, which were all great ways to meet people. I definitely want to come back!

This was a well set up and organised hostel. The staff were great and the facilities clean and tidy. There was plenty of things to do at the hostel if you wanted a night in and they also offered tours and extra activities throughout the week. The location is a little out of the way but we wanted it that way and there were plenty of local bars and restaurants nearby as well as the yamanote line being only 12min walk away.

Had a great stay and one thing that stood out was having Handy device which had free internet and very useful because I did not buy a sim card! I see these devices in hotels but never expected it in a hostel, which is brilliant. The activities and staff were amazing, always there when you need help.

This hostel definitely positively surprised me. I wasn’t expecting much from it and just needed a convenient/affordable place to crash for a couple days, but it was actually really great. The staff were incredibly kind, there was a good backpacker vibe, and they had events throughout the week (ie, takoyaki night) to get to know other travelers. Facilities were great. Only thing lacking is the location - it’s not particularly close to any major sights, but subway is accessible.

I really liked this hostel: very clean, great facilities for cooking your own food and a nice communal space downstairs. Plus they organised activities at the hostel multiple times a week like pancake Sunday’s. Showers were good. Only small downside was it was quite noisy (noise from the street) - surprisingly really as it isn’t on a main road. Overall would reckon though!

Hostel DEN was easy to find (even jetlagged), welcoming, clean and quiet. The building organization was clear, well thought out, and small kindnesses like freely borrowable umbrellas were appreciated. Staff was helpful, and always had a smile.
