Hotel Archimede Ortigia is one of the most ancient hotels in Siracusa. It started as an inn to give hospitality to visitors that reached Siracusa by train. It is a small hotel, fully restored, directly managed, offers a friendly and courteous atmosphere to its guests.
It is appreciated for its proximity to the railway station and the wonderful 'Ortigia old city'. In the nearby you can find: The archeological area of Neapolis (Greek theatre, Roman amphiteatre, Ear of Dionisus, Herons altar) at only 10 minutes walking. At only 10 minutes from the property you can find the famous Archeological Museum 'Paolo Orsi'. Moreover, you can also go to the golden sand beaches of Arenella or to Fontane Bianche to enjoy the sea. It is easy to get to the Conservation sea park of Plemmirio ( by land and sea), the protected reserve of Vendicari, the Necropolis of Pantalica, Great Canyon of Cavagrande and the Volcano Etna.
The hotel has 15 rooms located on ground floor. We are able, on request, to plan and give assistence for visiting all these places by reserving in advance boat, car or motorbike. We can also organize tours around Sicily and sightseeing around other islands (Eolie, Pantelleria, Lampedusa, Favignana).
