The Hostel Matagalpa

The Hostel Matagalpa is low cost, chill and cozy spot in Matagalpa to come and enjoy while you visit the Northern region of Nicaragua. Once at the hostel you can be assure you will feel right at home with a comfortable ambiance throughout the property, and all areas available for use: Front Desk, Dining Area, Kitchen, Patio are all fully equipped and ready to be enjoyed. We also have a variety of locally handcrafted products such as Coffee that can be bought right at the hostel and a list of tours that will take to the best natural spots in and around Matagalpa. You can be assured that at the Hostel Matagalpa you will have a full on experience of the mountains and the authenticity of the town.

You can enjoy the pleasant climate that offers Matagalpa, lying in hammocks or just sitting by our lounging area overlooking the locals transit the streets. The house is located in center of the city, on a street corner with easy access by the four cardinal points. Three blocks away from the main bus station, these buses are coming in and out the major cities of the country (Managua, Leon, Esteli, Chinandega).

We have 4 rooms:
Papa Ramiro: Named in honour to my grandfather Ramiro Vílchez. A double room with its bathroom and closet. Beds were made of mahogany woods.
La Primavera: Named after the farm that belonged to my grandfather and the Vilchez family for decades. A double room with a shared bathroom that is located right down the hallway.
Blanca: A double room with a shared bathroom. The room is located right in front of the kitchen.
Calla: Named in honour to my grandmother Macaria (Calla, as the locals would call her) Cardoza, Calla is a dormitory for up to 6 guests, with a shared bathroom located right down the hallway.
The Hostel Matagalpa's Policies & Conditions:

Check in from 14:00 to 19:00 .
Check out before 11:00 .

Payment upon arrival by cash.
Taxes included.

Cancellation policy: 48 hours before arrival.

Breakfast not included - 4.00 USD per person per day.

General:

No curfew.
Reception available from 08:00 to 20:00.
