Hostel del Lago

'Hostel Del Lago is a vibrant, social, family run hostel on the shore of Lake Atitlan in San Marcos La Laguna. The hostel has a private beach with a large dock to relax on, a lakeside sauna that is lit every night, a large roofed restaurant/bar, a yoga platform with classes throughout the day, and a massage service with several highly trained therapists offering different styles of body and energy work. Our lakefront restaurant offers a wide variety of international and Guatemalan cuisine, with almost everything prepared from scratch on site, and including many vegan and vegetarian options. We host nightly events including drum circles, local bands, movie nights, open mics, karaoke and more, where our guests can meet and socialise with each other and with our neighbors. Our rooms and dorms are simple, designed and priced for longer term budget backpackers and families, with hot gas showers in both the private and shared bathrooms. A large, filling breakfast and nightly sauna is included in the price of the room! Activities inside of Del Lago include swimming, yoga, massage, Spanish lessons and sauna. Outside of Del Lago, San Marcos is an eclectic town and guests can find all kinds of classes and workshops, cacao ceremonies, coffee tours, chocolate making classes, paddle boarding and hiking tours, and more, offered in the surrounding area! '
