1 km from the Royal Botanical Garden, with easy access to the center by public transport all the time, Nature Lovers' Hostel is a small old fashioned house surrounded by nature and away from the hustle and bustle.

The place has plants like cinnamon, coffee, vanilla, mango,Banana, curry plant,Ginger and many more
The hostel is located in Peradeniya in a village which is close to Kandy City. You will be able to see mongoose and birds. It takes 10 min by bus or by tuc-tuc to get into town.

You can stay in a completely quite environment away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Best thing about the hostel is that you can learn a lot about the history of sri lanka from the sources available in the property. we have around 500 books on both the history of Sri Lanka and Europe.

Also, a city tour can be arranged for a reasonable price, where you will learn a lot about the culture, religion and most importantly food patterns of kandy and sri lanka.

It’s more like a guesthouse. There is no door to the dorm - it’s just separated from the rest of the house by a curtain. The tour was a bit odd- it did not include the main temples etc. but many opportunities to spend money: overpriced tea factory, wood working place and gem store / museum. Personally, I did not click with the owners humor but that’s just my impression.

We had such an amazing experience staying with Asanka - truly one of the kindest, funniest and most generous people we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting His home was lovely and his off the beaten track tour was just amazing - so interesting and insightful - would highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying in the Kandy area
