About

Our Glendalough International country Youth Hostel is set in a deeply wooded glacial valley in Glendalough National Park.
Private, family & dorms rooms are all available, all of which are en-suite. Self catering kitchen, free parking, conference rooms and internet access are all but a few of its features.

Glendalough was once the home of a 6th Century monastic settlement of saints and scholars. This area is a must for history, geography and nature enthusiasts. It's a great area for fishing, rock climbing, pony trekking, walking forest trails and Wicklow Way.
The nearest shop is in Laragh 2km from the hostel.

After this why not check out out other hostel in Wicklow, Knockree Youth Hostel, near Enniskerry and along the Wicklow way.

We had a great stay! Loved the kitchen and the dining room - great view! The shower wasn’t super clean and breakfast was quite expensive for 9€. It’s great if you want to do a longer hike in Glendalough or around Wicklow. Would definitely come back!

Good location but that was about the only good thing about this hostel. For the amount you pay, the facilities are lacking and the cleanliness is not up to standard at all. The bathroom had mould everywhere, and even some silverfish crawling around. The kitchen had a foul smell like something has died behind the fridge. A lot of the kitchen equipment was not in safe working condition. The staff were friendly but overall I would not stay here again despite the beautiful location.

Staff was friendly and welcoming. VERY safe location and building. Glendalough is literally in the backyard and is stunning. Other guests are tourists (including families) and nature types who were wonderful to have breakfast or a chat with. There were only two downsides to this location and they're minor: groceries and busses. *disregard if you plan on driving* No fault of the hostel, but getting groceries beforehand is a must as the nearest place to get anything is quite a walk and the options are limite
