About

Welcome to Vitae Hostel – Your Home in Budapest!
At Vitae Hostel, we strike the perfect balance between offering the wide range of amenities you'd expect from a large hostel and providing the sociable, relaxed, and family-style atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Whether you’re traveling solo or with a group, you’ll be welcomed with open arms—and probably end up staying longer than planned!

We offer party options every night of the week, but the vibe inside the hostel is both chilled and chaotic. Our clean, spacious, non-smoking, and secure dorm rooms are ready for travelers in need of rest—whether you’re coming in sober or not. Staffed entirely by experienced travelers, our team has all the insider tips to make your Budapest stay an unforgettable highlight of your journey!

More Than Just a Place to Sleep
Travel is all about connection. That’s why over 60% of our floor space is dedicated to common areas where you can meet and mingle with other guests—whether you're playing cards, sharing drinks, or enjoying our low-cost family-style dinners (you just chip in for ingredients!). Our fully equipped modern kitchen is always open, and for those cozy movie nights, we’ve got a Chromecast TV and a snug lounge area open 24/7.

The Best of Budapest – Day & Night
Sightseeing and nightlife don’t have to be separate—our team will help you blend both into your stay with local knowledge of the best historical spots and the wildest parties. Whether you’re after a romantic Danube dinner cruise or a 6am trip to a 24-hour bar, we’ve been there—and we know the way.

Location Perks
You’ll find everything you need just steps from our door: ATMs, currency exchange, tram and bus stops, convenience stores, tobacco shops, 24/7 eateries, and the cheapest bars in Budapest—all on our block!

Weekly Highlights Include:
Party boats on the Danube, Ruin bar crawls, Spa parties, Open mic nights, and many backpacker events

This sociable, party-oriented hostel offers a welcoming atmosphere with staff who are?super helpful and friendly and are on hand to include you in the activities, according to users of Hostelworld. They host various different nightly events and dinners and one traveller told us that guests looking for a quiet night can ?hang back at the hostel and play PlayStation, use the Wi-Fi or relax on the balcony?."
