Gallery Hostel is an award-winning boutique hostel located in the heart of Porto’s Arts District, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. Our unique property also functions as an art gallery and is frequently recognized as one of the best hostels in Porto and worldwide.
Set in a restored 19th-century building, the hostel combines authentic Portuguese character with modern comfort. Original blue tiles, an iconic feature of local architecture, have been carefully preserved, while the interior has been thoughtfully updated. Located in one of Porto’s trendiest neighborhoods, Gallery Hostel is within walking distance of the historic city center and Porto’s nightlife. The beautiful Palácio de Cristal gardens are just five minutes away, and Lapa and Trindade metro stations are both a short walk from the property.

I liked this hostel a lot! The included breakfast was nice and I loved the location. It was clean and the staff members were friendly. However, it was not a super social hostel.

It's a good hostel, comfortable, pretty, and in a cute calm neighborhood. It has much more of a hotel feel with breakfast, lots of bathrooms, excellent cleaning. I'll say it's not overly social though. And my experience was that I usually walked 20min, while my friends at other hostels walked 10-15min. The shower isn't tightly sealed and water spills out, I hope the quality of the baths won't deteriorate from that over time.

As the name suggests, Gallery Hostel Porto is a beautiful hostel filled with original art and located in an area surrounded by art galleries. It?s about 10 minutes? walk from the centre. Hostelworld guests have said they?d definitely recommend this hostel, ?especially if you like art and music?. This hostel features a summer terrace and winter garden, very friendly staff and ensuite dorms. We particularly like their delicious nightly Portuguese dinners, which cost around ?10.
