Pacific Coast Backpackers Lodge

Located in Mount Maunganui, Pacific Coast Lodge and Backpackers is an award-winning hostel, located at 500 meters from the beach and next to Blake park. Guests have free use of surf boards, WiFi and on-site parking. We offer free assistance with job placement, lots of jobs opportunities are within walking distance.

We have a huge communal fully equipped kitchen with free tea/coffee/herbs/spices, an outdoor courtyard with BBQ's free to use, games room and reading room waiting for you to challenge us to a game of Ping Pong! You will be enjoying a spacious and comfy lounge with Chromecast and Netflix. Laundry facilities are available. Computer and printer access are also available.

You can choose to stay in a lively dormitory room or in the comfort of your own private room. Toilet and bathroom facilities are shared. All rooms come with bed sheets including duvets. Towels can be hired for $4 each.

Mount Maunganui Pacific Coast Lodge and Backpackers is 5 km from Tauranga Airport, the local bus stop is located right out the front of the Backpackers, hop on Bus #5 if you have arrived in Tauranga. The INTERCITY bus stop is also right outside, choose stop code PCL Pacific Coast Lodge for Intercity.

CHECK IN: 2pm - 9pm
A photo ID (passport, 18+ card or valid NZ driver's license), credit card and $30 cash deposit for keys will be asked upon arrival.
Please make sure you ALL have this to avoid disappointment. Late check-ins till midnight are available on request.

CHEKC OUT: 8am - 10am

PAYMENT:
The property will charge the total amount of the booking 3 days before arrival, except in the following cases, where non-refundable payment will be taken at the time of booking:
• Summer peak season (24th December - second Sunday of January)
• Major Festivals: Juicy, One Love, Bay Dreams, etc
• All public holidays

BOOKING FEES: A 2% surcharge will be added to ALL bookings paid by debit/credit card. To avoid the surcharge, please pay by bank transfer (contact the hostel for bank details).
In case your card is not valid, the property will contact you asking for new card details. If you don't provide the details within 24 hours, the property is entitled to cancel your booking.

CANCELLATION and NO-SHOW policies:
Cancel for free until 3 days before arrival (exceptions - see below).
If cancelled less than 72 hours before arrival, the full amount of your reservation will be charged. No refund will be given, should you alter your reserved dates or leave for any reason before your reserved departure date.

Exceptions to the 72 hours policy - All public holidays and summer peak season (24th Dec - second Sunday of January) Bay Dreams, One Love, Juicy festival and certain big concerts; a full non-refundable prepayment will be charged at the moment of reservation.

All guests during the summer peak season period must be 21+ years of age to stay.
