Friendly AQP is a family run hostel that has everything a backpacker could want in one place. A beautiful hostel and a gorgeous colonial house, we work to ensure you enjoy your stay in the city of Arequipa!
LOCATION We are located just 3 blocks from the Plaza de Armas (the main square), about a 3 minute walk! Our house is in the lovely residential neighborhood. The neighborhood contains many family homes; it is very safe day and night, as are the routes to the main tourist areas. Local amenities include: Plaza Vea supermarket, restaurants, banks, shops.
BREAKFAST We serve breakfast every day between 7:30-9:00 AM and you have different delicious options. Our original banana pancakes are served with a sweet dulce de leche topping and our fried or scrambled eggs are accompanied by fresh bread, jam and butter. Coffee, tea, coca mate and milk are also provided.
FACILITIES At Friendly AQP we provide you with everything you need to enjoy your stay in Arequipa. We have a fully equipped kitchen, with a fridge and freezer, free to use for all guests. There is a spacious terrace, where you can relax and watch TV or a DVD. For added fun, we have a games area where there is a FOOTBALL table, we also have tables, chairs and hammocks to relax and enjoy the great Arequipa sunshine and offers magnificent views of the Misti and Chachani volcanoes. There is strong WIFI throughout the hostel.
ROOMS All our rooms are maintained to a very high standard. We have comfortable rooms, with PRIVATE BATHROOMS, hot water, cable TV and Wi-Fi. Comfortable beds with new mattresses, sheets and pillows. The rooms are very clean with large windows and open spaces.
STAFF Our staff do their best to make you feel at home and will always try to help you with any of your needs. Our staff speaks English at a good level and has extensive knowledge of Arequipa and its surroundings.
TOURS We have our own travel agency that organizes daily group tours to the Colca Canyon. We offer the traditional 1 or 2 day tour to the Colca Canyon, 2, 3 or 4 day hikes through the canyon, opportunities to climb the Misti and Chachani volcanoes, rafting on the Chili River and we can also help you with the purchase of bus tickets and any other needs you may have. We have over 10 years of experience providing these tours and we guarantee to provide excellent service with the best guides.
