La Pacha Eco-Farm Glamping

Come to our place to chill and chat and relax in glorious countryside. Luxuriate by the natural swimming pool and eat delicious curries and cakes till your heart's content. Exactly half-way between San Gil and Barichara, La Pacha is in the perfect location for being in remote countryside but also super easy to do extreme sports or visit San Gil or Barichara. It's simple to get here (see directions below). We are a small eco-farm with affordable glamping and restaurant with loads of vegetarian options run by a friendly Anglo-Colombian family. Highlights include: Indian and vegetarian food (our curries are very popular), natural swimming pool, panoramic views of rolling mountains, the sky hammock, the cine-bus, outdoor kitchen, campfires with free wood, sports like volleyball and archery, a 30 minute walk to the best sunset view in the region, and many beautiful hikes to nearby villages and landmarks (including the highest bungee in South America). The accommodation of hobbit house dorm, yurts, domes, and a gypsy wagon are located in the mandarin orchard or on the mountainside. Our environmental ethos: 100% recycling (yes that means 0% garbage. We reuse everything!) Dry toilets, solar showers, organic garden, and compost.

How to get here from San Gil: Take a bus to Barichara or Villanueva, ask for La Pacha, in 20 mins the driver will drop you off at our sign and we'll pick you up there (whattsapp us in advance) to take you the 2km to the hostel. For extreme sports we'll put you on the bus and in 20 mins the company picks you up from the bus station. It's so easy. There is a gorgeous hidden waterfall with pool just a 40 mins walk away. You can hike to the unique village and UNESCO site , Barichara (2 hours) or take the bus.

But what really makes La Pacha special is the friendly family atmosphere: Run by a very down-to-earth Anglo-Colombian family with two kids, two cats, two dogs and ten chickens, we make it our mission to welcome guests into the family, but there's lots of different spaces to relax for some quiet time.
We also have local and national charities that we support. By staying at La Pacha you will be contributing to the local community and natural environment.
