From the moment we walked into Friends Hostel we were treated like family. The hostel itself is magical! Amazing common area with breathtaking views - I could not believe I was staying in a hostel with a view like that. The location is right in the heart of old town near the castle, shops and small markets which are so charming. Friends hostel even went above and beyond to return my lost property to me after I had left the hostel. I couldn’t be more grateful to have stayed here

The hostel itself is super lovely with amazing views. Was a tad disappointed to hear that was being moved to another guest house for my second night, with no internet connection and essentially zero possibility for socialising, hence booking a hostel..

More of a home stay than a traditional backpackers hostel. You’re essentially in the families house which felt a bit odd at times. Their young kids/family reside in the common area including an incredibly annoying small dog who bit me several times. Doesn’t feel very secure in the rooms - anyone can walk in off the street as reception is separate. Someone tried to get in my private room first thing in the morning but thankfully I’d locked it. Breakfast is good but coffee costs extra.
