Since 1970, the Hotel Europa offers warm hospitality and friendly service to all tourists staying in Minori, on the Amalfi Coast. The hotel offers a variety of colorful rooms decorated with the Coast typical tiles and fine ceramics. Rooms are simply furnished and equipped with free WiFi, air conditioning or fan and TV, with balcony or terrace, all with private bathrooms. Hotel Europa is in a great location .The hotel is located in the highest area of Minori, just a few meters from the main street and then also from all the major attractions of the place (the Basilica of Santa Trofimena, the Ancient Villa Romana and the famous Pasticceria De Riso). The central location on the Amalfi Coast, makes it ideal for visiting Salerno, Positano, Sorrento and the islands of Capri and Ischia. Minori is a quite ancient settlement. According to some historians the city dates back to the first century AC. Its original name is Rheginna Minor. Many roman aristocrats built their summer villas in Minori. The Roman Villa archaeological site testifies that. The villa is just a few steps from the hotel, still perfectly preserved, and open to visitiors. The majestic Basilica of Santa Trofimena, built in the late '700 is also worth a visit. Minori, was once a small fishing village, in the twentieth century tourism and considerable urbanization made Minori a pearl of the Amalfi Coast, from the 1997 World Heritage Site.
In Roman times, it was known as Rheginna Minor, to differentiate it from Rheginna Maior, today Maiori. The ancient Rheginna Minor today houses a rare example of a seaside villa, considered one of the most important Roman monuments of the Amalfi Coast, the superb Roman Maritime Villa of the first century. A.D.
Minori, for centuries, was the only village of the Amalfi Coast to preserve the remains of a saint: Santa Trofimena, to whom is dedicated the Basilica. The Cathedral, dedicated to Santa Trofimena, was restored in 1800 and the lower basilica houses the remains of the patron saint of the town. Santa Trofimena was patroness of the whole Coast and of the Republic of Amalfi, as well as highly revered in the Sicilian town of Patti. Once the town of Minori was full of mills, of this tradition today remains a strong vocation for the production of pasta, used in various recipes and menus proposed in small and typical restaurants of Minori.

The rooms available at the Hotel Europa in Minori are simple and clean, with colorful Amalfi Coast typical majolica and ceramic. The different types offered by the hotel ranging from single, double and triple and quadruple, moreover, there is the availability of family rooms. All rooms are private-bathroom equipped with essential courtesy set, plus complimentary toiletries. Rooms can either look out on the balcony and the terrace overlooking the sea, there are heating system, air conditioning or fan. It is allowed a maximum number of one extra beds, the same goes for cots. Any type of extra bed or cot is available on request and subject to confirmation by the hotel.
