if you want to catch the amazing train to go to Ella you need to come here! Asanka the owner is amazing, he will help you with everything and If you want to escape Kandy's crowd that should be the place! nature and relax! bathroom is really clean and also the rooms! you ll enjoy delicious home made breakfast before your train trip. kandy is just 25 minutes far with a direct bus!

we were more than happy with our stay in asankas hostel! we learned about buddhism and enjoyed spending time with him. besides cooking the best breakfast he showed us some hidden gems and really good food. and the name is true. thanks to him we were able to catch the ella train and had even a seat!
