Hotel & Hostel Montarina

What an experience. My entire room up to the sound of a nude man urinating At 6AM next to my bed on someone’s luggage. They did not clean the urine until 2PM. The location is amazing and the Hostel grounds are perfect. Three rooms of 18 beds share one unisex bathroom with two toilets and two showers which I also found interesting. It feels like the hostel is the afterthought with their primary focus being the hotel’s private rooms. Despite this, the staff were lovely and actually quite helpful.

Beautiful location, glorious views and a swimming pool to boot. However, security was so good we weren't always 100% sure how to escape.

It is probably the cheapest place to stay in Lugano so I did not expect much. The women on the desk was really helpful and knew loads of languages. I didn't think it was the most secure, nothing is really stopping anyone from walking into the rooms. There are lockers to store your things. I only stayed for one night and it was fine, just quite expensive for what you get.
