The hostel does not have sufficient common area space for the number of people it accommodates. Kitchen is tiny with only two burners and no stove, making it difficult to cook. There is no proper space for eating, only in the sitting room at a coffee table. Breakfast is free and was fine. Staff are not always accessible especially in the evening when they are socializing with guests. A little too much of a party atmosphere, but if that’s what you want then I recommend this hostel.

Good Bye Lenin hostel was wonderful! The atmosphere was so welcoming and I felt very safe and included as a solo traveler. Reception rents out most things you might need to hike and gave great trail recommendations. There is a trailhead across the road and a bus which goes to popular park destinations. Plus there are cats!!! Only downside is 2 bathrooms for the entire place. Wish my stay was longer and hope to return someday!

Amazing stay at GBL. Felt like going home or enter a house of a friend. Volunteers made a great time of the stay. Every evening there is something to do, from BBQ night till games till pierogi night. The place is so cozy, the surrounding is wonderful. And it’s easy to reach by public transport or feet.
