Porto das Palmeiras Hostel

Stayed there 3 nights and will never come back. The only reason I did not give 1 star was because most of the staff was friendly, the breakfast was delicious and it's a 6-minute walk from the beach. However, the WiFi barely works anywhere except the lobby; the all-female dorm has no air conditioning and is inhumanely hot! During a 3-night stay, I saw no less than 3 guests leave the room either for another dorm or another hostel. The bathroom constantly smelled like urine and the housekeeping advertised si

Good value for money hostel with big private rooms and good breakfast. Nice location next to the beach and restaurants if you are looking for an area outside the historic centre.

ummmm my 3 day stay here was okay. There is a serious lock on the outside gate, so secure that i was locked out one night and couldnt get in for atleast 45 mins. the room doors, however did not lock and that was a bit unsettling. for myfirst few nights i had the entire dorm room to myself, which was kinda cool. breakfast was okay, none of the workers or guests spoke english so i certainly did not get any of the benefits of a hostel environment.
