Somos

Had a great stay here. Would recommend if you're looking for an elevated hostel environment (like a boutique hotel). Not your typical hostel given the restaurant being the focal point of the property but the back communal area was nice and had potential for guests to be social. Kitchen could use some more supplies but otherwise very useful for longer stays. The deluxe dorms were very comfortable and clean, and appreciated the daily fresh towels. Would recommend earplugs if sensitive to noise.

Had a great time at Somos! I stayed for 2 weeks as a solo traveler, and made so much friends. The vibe is so nice, the dorms are comfortable, pool is great and Somos Cafe is a nice place to hang and work. If you can afford to spend some extra bucks I would definitely recommend the double bed dorms (more spacious, more storage for your belongings. I stayed in the single bed dorm the whole time tough and it was still great. I would definitely come back!

The place is perfect to meet new people, hang out or just chill. The staff clearly likes working there and is really helpful. My shuttle back to San Jose was just at 3 pm and they allowed me to take a shower after the checkout. The atmosphere is great (shout to Gina and Camilo), there are two bathrooms for each shared room and the room is clean. Undoubtably I will stay there again when I come back to Santa Teresa.
