Hostal Guacamayas

Good hostel! The owner and Holly the volunteer are super sweet and welcoming. It’s a pretty small hostel, with a pool, bar and laundry-mat. Good beds and big lockers. The bathroom is ok, the water pressure and heat sometimes don’t work but it’s fine :) Hostelworld says breakfast is included but it isn’t so be aware of that :)

Great location. When we stayed, there was a very nice group of volunteers that made it social. The manager is very kind and is currently making a lot of improvements on the hostal. There were only two showers and no hot water. I believe they were fixing that the day we left. We shared a room with one of the staff and to be honest, he didn’t understand hostal etiquette, and we felt that we had no privacy. He also made a couple of uncomfortable comments. Staff shouldn’t live in the dorm rooms.

A nice hostel with all you need. The owner is very nice and helpful! A bigger bathroom inside that is just for girls (not clean) then outside there is a small shower that the men can use and two toilets for everyone, not very clean. We had some unfortunate episodes with one af the guys working there. In our experience he was annoying always picking on our small mistakes and he liked to remind us all the time what we did wrong even though we corrected them the first time and never repeated them.
