Pariwana Hostel Santiago

Decent hostel but can’t say my belongings were that safe. After getting my portable charger stolen, hostel staff seemed to care for all of 5 minutes. Even though they had CCTV everywhere, they didn’t think to look at it to see if they could see the person walk out my dorm with my charger. Two of my friends had all the cigarettes stolen as well. Shame this hostel doesn’t have a rep getting everyone together, as it has a good setup. Also kind of dodgy area if you go out at night.

My stay in this hostel was very pleasant. Totally recommended!

We paid extra for the "deluxe" pods so we could have curtains but these beds don't have AC or fans like some of the other rooms. There's also only a small window so your choice (if you're so lucky as to have the window bed) is sweat all night or have music blasting in from the club next door (or if you're not so lucky, you could end up with both). Bathrooms weren't cleaned on new year's day and some had sick in them. Supposed to be a social hostel but lacked atmosphere
