Furu Hostel

I have stayed in hostels on 6 different continents in dozens of countries. This is probably the nicest hostel I've ever stayed at. Extremely clean, well organized, and built/ designed with real intention. From the lovely lobby and reading room, the sauna facing the lake, the play area for kids, the area with dog houses, this hostel was clearly built with genuine love and thoughtfulness. 20/10 would recommend and would stay again.

Very nice hostel, with a great atmosphere! The cozy common area, and welcoming staff make it easy to feel comorftable quickly. Its in a remote area, the bus stop is right in front of it, but only a few times a day, so it needs some planning in advance or you can meet a lot of lovely people there you might take you places :) It has a well equipped kitchen, nice rooms, a sauna right by the lake, and as a female solo traveller I felt very safe during my stay. Definitely would come back!

FURU isn’t just a very special hostel but a very special place full stop.The staff were welcoming, friendly, helpful. The decor is original, stylish and creative. I do wonder whether a designated quiet space might be a welcome addition for some people - the social atmosphere is great but there wasn’t anywhere to have a bit of peace and quiet if necessary. The location is superb and includes a charming outside fire hut and sauna by the lake; and fantastic that there is a bus stop right outside.
