Urbana Hostel

This hostel is located in the part of Bogota where most of the nightlife is. If you want to explore the historic center, it’s about a half hour away by Uber depending on traffic. The hostel is clean and quiet and gets the job done. There are lockers in the room that can hold a laptop, but not a whole bag. Unfortunately, the atmosphere here is quite poor for non-English speakers compared to other hostels I stayed at in Colombia.

If you want to be in Zona Rosa, next to the clubs and bars and your main plan is going to bed in the middle of the night, this hostel is all you need. But if you want to see some of Bogota attractions, keep in mind that most of those are in historic center and you will lose a lot of time (and money) in ubers. The rooms are basic, most without windows (so pretty stuffy), you can hear noise all the night and they have problems with locks. No activities and atmosphere is meh. Staff is nice though.

Convenient location, nice people, fun hostel! Certainly a great value too. I'm coming back.
