Hello
We are Merry V Guesthouse. We are originally Khaosan people. Our guest house has been welcoming guests around the world since 1985.
Our grandma concerned in cleanness and quality of air, so our place was designed to be budget private rooms with natural ventilation where can you find share bathroom in ventilated place.

We are more than happy to provide clean rooms and local experience for everyone :)
Now, we have our new local partner ' Sopa Bar' on the 1st floor. Stay tune with them for special events and live music!!!

Property Terms & Policies:

1) Check-in from 14:00
2) Check out Before 12:00
3) Reception working hours: 9:00 – 21:00
4) Payment on Arrival: Cash only.
5) Cancellation or amendment must be made 7 days in advance prior to arrival.
6) Breakfast is not included.
7) NO smoking in Room, but have a smoking area.
8) Our property has FAN only - no air-con in any room.
Please note SOME rooms do have no air-con only FAN. Please make sure before making a reservation.

Great central location. No A/C just a fan that's pretty squeaky & I wouldn't have been able to sleep without noise-cancelling headphones. Bonus points that this looks like the guesthouse from the opening scene of the movie, "The Beach." Gotta take points off though because the sheets on my bed had pretty big stains on them that made me afraid to sleep on them. If you're looking for basic & cheap this place fits the bill, but expect a few corners to be cut for them to meet your price point.

The place is bare, but has all the basics. Every backpacker that wants their own room for a night or two in the enter of the city should stay here. There is no common area per se, so it is good to sleep and leave your things ...but there is a restaurant downstairs with nice couches. For a solo backpacker I recommend.

The woman who works on the front desk was extremely rude with her communication with me and other she went out of her way to cause me problems.Â Whereas the rest of the staff in the cafe below the hotel are extremely kind and joyful. Conversely she has not only offended and angered me, there are many comments online complaining about her about her arrogance. So to conclude the front desk woman is ruining the Merry V Guest House reputation! So much so i cancelled staying there on my return trip.
