소개

Sounkyo hostel is located at the foot of Daisetsuzan and it's the best base for trekking. (7-min walk to the trailhead.)
Daisetsuzan is Hokkaido's largest national park. (Hokkaido, Japan)

It has a mountainous area of virtually unspoiled wilderness. (great landscape, alpine plants, color leaves, wild animals,etc..)
And Sounkyo is a touristy hot spring resort town. Our hostel don't have hot springs (Shower has), but several of which open their baths to non-staying guests during daytime for an admission fee of typically less than 800yen.

Our retro buildings provide a great environment to heal you from the tiredness of your trip. It really is the most suitable place to make a plan of the mountain trekking. And after getting tired from trekking, we want to welcome back you warmly.

If you like nature, you will definitely have a nice experience!
Mountain trekking, cycling, walking, hot springs, seeing the autumn leaves, etc.

Facilities were pooooor. Even water which has two facet were extremely cold and hell hot. No bidet in any toilet and It was noisy when I walk on floor. Most of all, I asked a staff whom was a man wearing glass for hit water problem, he reacted rude and impolite slapping door and threw a basket. It was ridiculous. You just were a staff and I paid and you should be helpful. Anyway I felt bad impression by you and poor facility. And room upgrade fee was very high even though room was not FULL

Such a cool place! The staff and surroundings are excellent and the price can't be beat, especially considering the ability to access the facilities of the much more expensive hotels right next door. The coupons for the onsen in particular are such a great deal. The location is a bit out of the way if you don't have access to a vehicle but they do offer bicycle day rentals for a good price which would help considerably. The lack of AC was a problem but it shouldn't be if you don't come in summer
