Everything about this hostel was great! Only reason for the score was the location - just not super close to everything (but not terribly far either). Food is good.

The people at the front desk were very helpful, they helped us get a taxi to Santa Marta when we were leaving and answered other questions as well. However, the atmosphere at the hostel did not give hostel vibes at all. The pool looked like it had not been cleaned and when we looked under our bed to check if we forgot something we saw there as bottle caps, rose peddles, and other stuff underneath the bed. The property itself is quite nice to hang around, with places to sit and chill everywhere.

Nice hostel! About a 10-minute walk to town via a shortcut. Wonderful, helpful staff. Breakfast is mid but included. The place is huge, but water refills are only at the bar, which is often unattended. Rooms are decent with AC, though some bunks feel unstable. Bathrooms seem neglected—soap on the floor, missing toilet paper or towels. Being near the river is a great perk for a morning dip. Overall, a good hostel that could improve the small details.
